Let's be honest: socks are a cry for help. A mug says "I panicked in a checkout line." This year, give the outdoorsy people in your life something they'll actually wear, ideally with a bear on it. Here's our completely unbiased (fully biased) gift guide, sorted by the type of person you're shopping for.
The Camper
Owns three headlamps and still can't find one. Thinks a campfire is a personality trait. They're right.
- Smoky Ridge Badge T-Shirt: a campfire under the peaks, for people who smell faintly of woodsmoke year-round.
- Gone Fishin' Trout T-Shirt: the official out-of-office message for anyone who "just needs an hour" at the lake.
The Hiker
Will tell you their step count unprompted. Calls a 6-mile climb "a nice little walk."
- Deer Mountain Adventure T-Shirt: a stag, a sunset and an open invitation to go uphill on purpose.
- Gravel Road Getaway Tee: a small mountain logo for people who'd rather be on a ridge than in this meeting.
The Bear Person
You know the one. Every photo they send you is a bear. Every bear they see is "their guy."
- Black Bear Ridge Tee: a painterly black bear, the only way we recommend getting this close to one.
- Bear Peak Scenic Tee: misty peaks, pines and one bear living his best life.
The Cozy Homebody
Their idea of the outdoors is the window. Their idea of hiking is walking to the kitchen. Respect.
- Smoky Ridge Cabin Hoodie: a whole log cabin on your back, zero mortgage. Basically a blanket with sleeves.
- Here For The Cookies Dog T-Shirt: a sleepy dog next to Santa's cookies. Their spirit animal, accurately documented.
The Thanksgiving Overeater
Unbuttons before the pie. Has opinions about stuffing. Is already thinking about the cookie tray.
- Just Here For The Cookies T-Shirt: for the person who goes to every holiday party exclusively for the snack table.
When to order
Everything is printed to order, so a little planning goes a long way. We recommend ordering by December 8 for the lower 48, and around November 20 for Alaska and Hawaii. These are recommendations, not guarantees: carriers get busy in December, and we can't make them less busy (we've asked). See our shipping policy for details.
The deal
Buy 2 tees, save 15%, starting Nov 6. Applies to tees only; hoodies and the hat are excluded, because they're already doing a lot.
